Springtime has finally come to central Ohio! The D1s are entering their last quarter as 1st years, the D2s are approaching their first board exams and entrance into the clinics, and the D4s are having a hard time containing their excitement for graduation. As the weather warms up more games of cornhole spontaneously sprout up in the front yard, more family-style barbeque’s heat up the Psi Omega grill, and our Spring landscaping has brightened up the outside of the house. Dr. Doug Hinton from the House Company came by to help mulch the front flower beds just as the tulips were blooming again, it looks great! This Spring is gearing up to be an active one for the house. House members are involved in intramural soccer, hockey, basketball, and sand volleyball leagues this quarter, proof that you can have time for some fun while in dental school.
Officer elections for next school year are ongoing through the beginning of this week. Because it is hard to get all the Psi Omega members together at once to vote, the voting is being done on a class-by-class basis. The votes will be tallied and announced before this Thursday’s House Company meeting to introduce the new officers and talk about the upcoming year at Psi Omega, it’s shaping up to be one of the best yet! Four rooms will be opening in the house when our four favorite D4s graduate and move away (Maryland, Portsmouth, Cincinnati, and the great Southwest!), and two have already been filled for the class of 2014.
